Tower Hill Condominium Association
Challenge
Located in Red Bank, N.J. the Tower Hill Condominium Association noticed their wooden retaining wall decaying, bowing and ultimately failing. When the wall was inspected by an engineer, it was quickly deemed unsafe and was in need of immediate repair. Quality 1st Contracting was chosen for the project because of their excellent reputation, skills, and ability to quickly mobilize.
Solution
Quality 1st Contracting was charged with the removal of the deteriorating, failing wood wall. Working in conjunction with the Associates Engineer, a segments block retaining wall was erected to begin work. Quality 1st began the project by removing and disposing of the existing retaining walls. The crew led by Saul Castro installed and maintained a specified soil erosion and sediment control measures. The team finished the retaining wall in just a few months. Utilizing several pieces of heavy construction equipment and incorporating site safety measures, Quality 1st Contracting accomplished its task. Overall the management company representatives as well as the residents of Tower Hill were more than pleased with the construction of the new wall. The community is now safer and the community below the wall feels it’s residents are now safer as well because the failing wall was falling in their direction.
