Challenge

Surrey Downs is a 55+ condominium community located in Freehold, N.J. with over 440 units in place. When a property manager noticed water infiltrating into the garage of one of the units they decided to contact Quality 1st Contracting. This particular unit was located in a court with 3 other single family homes. One of the biggest concerns was the disruption to other units in the court yard. Other options considered before calling Quality 1st Contracting consisted of raising the house, repaving the driveway/ courtyard and raising the garage slab. The Surrey Downs Management team chose Quality 1st because we have performed excellent work for them in the past.

Solution

Quality 1st Contracting used asphalt cutting, trenching, pipe installation and asphalt and lawn restoration to complete the project. Foreman Saul Castro installed catch basins, connected to sub-surface piping, Quality 1st Contracting was able to direct storm water away from the unit stopping the water infiltration issues at the garage. Utilizing infrared technology, Quality 1st Contracting was able to repair the affected asphalt areas.
