BriarGlen II Condomiunium Association

Wednesday, June 19th, 2013 by Tom Roman

Challenge

The BriarGlen II Condominium Association property manager located in Freehold, N.J. called Quality 1st Contracting when she received a DCA Inspection Report identifying settled and sunken concrete slabs near the entrances one of several condominiums. The concrete slabs experienced up to 1 ½ inches of settlement which became a major concern for trip hazards and a liability issue for the association.

Solution

Quality 1st Contracting remedied the problem with the PolyLEVELTM Polyurethane Injection System. The Quality 1st specialist, drilled penny sized holes into the sunken parts of the concrete slab. Then used the specialized equipment, injected the polyurethane under the concrete to raise it back to its original elevation. The PolyLEVELTM system was installed in less than one day, with no mess left behind. The  concrete slab was back in service just a few moments after installation. After the concrete slabs were leveled the Quality 1st specialist sealed the joint between the slabs to prevent moisture from getting below the slabs. This fast installation process gave the homeowner peace of mind and left him very happy knowing that his family can safely utilize their walkways with no future settlement issues. The management company representatives as well as the resident
of BriarGlen II were more than pleased with the work performed by Quality 1st.
