Challenge

The steps out to the parking lot in Liberty Village Community were separating from the curb causing a huge tripping hazard. The gap from the concrete step to the curb had separated about 2 inches. The residents were concerned that an accident could happen entering and exiting the parking lot and so the Property Manager needed to find a reputable contractor to replace the concrete step. Commercial Account Executive, Nancy Hoffman, took on the project and we assured the Property Manager they were in good hands with Quality 1st Contracting.

Solution

Quality 1st Contracting remedied the problem by removing and replacing the concrete step. The team, lead by Santiago Torres, broke up the old step for the concrete to be poured within the new framed area. Santiago then smoothed the concrete out to create an even and leveled step. The team was able to replace the concrete step without causing any damage to the surrounding area. The crew  worked around the curb so replacement wasn't necessary. The community was relieved that the tripping hazard was removed and that Quality 1st Contracting was able to provide the community with safe steps.
